Informational Meeting for Unto the Hills

You are cordially and enthusiastically invited to an event launching a new chapter in Catalyst Theatre’s long and storied history! On May 14th there will be an important informational meeting about the latest production – our first as a brand new independent non-profit community theatre company!

“Unto the Hills” is a new, original musical from the creators of “A Light in the Attic” and the award winning “Katie’s Hope”. Set in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee in the year 1926, “Unto the Hills” tells the story of a community and a family in crisis. The town of Cades Cove may be swallowed up by the impending creation of a new National Park, and the tensions this has raised have led to tragedy for one family. With a powerful message about the nature of forgiveness, the musical also paints a picture of life in rural Appalachia with memorable characters, great music (from the creative genius of Steve Richards), a mysterious stranger, a little Christmas, and some fun with a pig named Clyde!

If you have any interest in becoming a part of this ground-breaking event – in any capacity – or just want to come and see what it’s all about, we would strongly urge you to attend this meeting. There will be a great deal of important information shared concerning:

  • production dates
  • audition dates and expectations
  • schedules and rehearsals
  • a history, cast list (which includes adults and children), and synopsis of the musical
  • a bit of the story of how Catalyst arrived at this moment
  • and more

It’s all stuff you’ll want to hear, so please plan to be there!
