These guidelines ensure that everyone’s online presence reflects professionalism, respect, and enthusiasm for our productions. 1. Representing Sycamore Tree Theatre
- Remember that your posts reflect the image of the theatre company as a whole.
- Share content that portrays the production, cast, and staff in a positive and respectful manner.
- Avoid negative or critical comments about the show, fellow cast members, or production decisions.
2. Posting About Rehearsals and Shows
- You are encouraged to share your excitement and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Always tag the official theatre account and use the designated show and company hashtags:
- #IllBeHomeForChristmas2025
- #SycamoreTreeTheatre
- For Instagram, use the “collab post” option whenever possible so the content appears on both your account and the theatre’s page.
- Do not post major parts of the show or scenes that would spoil the performance for the audience.
- Ensure captions, videos, and photos are appropriate for all audiences and align with the theatre’s image.
3. Respect and Consent
- Avoid sharing content that could misrepresent, embarrass, or make others uncomfortable.
- If unsure whether a post is appropriate, check with the social media manager or the directors before posting.
4. Promotion and Engagement
- Repost, share, and comment on the theatre’s official posts to help increase visibility and engagement.
- Encourage friends, family, and followers to attend shows and follow the theatre’s accounts.
- Keep your personal promotional posts consistent with the theatre’s overall branding and tone.
5. What to Avoid
- Do not post full scripts, full choreography videos, or other materials that have not been approved for public sharing.
- Refrain from posting content that includes inappropriate language, behavior, or anything unprofessional while representing the theatre.
6. Questions or Collaborations
- For collaboration ideas or promotional content, contact the social media manager before posting.
- When in doubt, ask for guidance. It’s better to clarify than to post something that could cause confusion or misrepresentation.
